SCASCD
The South Carolina Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (SCASCD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Gerard Spencer Edwards to the Board of Directors. 
 
South Carolina ASCD is the state affiliate of ASCD (formerly the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development), which has 68 affiliates in the 50 states and several foreign nations.  Like its parent organization, South Carolina ASCD is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization with a primary mission of improving the teaching and learning of all students. South Carolina ASCD supports the five tenets of the Whole Child Initiative believing each child should be Healthy, Safe, Supported, Engaged and Challenged.  The SCASCD accomplishes their mission by influencing educational research, policy, and practice in curriculum and instruction.
 
Dr. Gerard Spencer Edwards is serving as the Secondary Education Coordinator at Lee Central High School. Dr. Edwards has been privileged to have spent 23 rewarding years as an educator working with students from the elementary, middle and high school, and collegiate levels.
