Coach Xavier Harry

Coach Harry's connection to Lee Central High School runs deep. He is a Class of 2006 graduate and former student-athlete for the Stallions. As a student-athlete, Coach Harry was a part of the first boys basketball team at Lee Central High School to win the 2A State Championship in 2006. After graduation, Coach Harry attended Spartanburg Methodist College where he earned an Associates Degree of Arts. After graduating from SMC, Coach Harry attended Lander University where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science. Coach Harry has one son, Zamar Harry who attends Winthrop University.
Coach Harry has fourteen years of coaching experience at the high school level with stops at Emerald High School (Greenwood, SC), East Clarendon High School (Turbeville, SC), Crestwood High School (Sumter, SC) before returning to his alma mater for the past nine years at Lee Central High School. Coach Harry worked under his former coach (Laverne Knox) for the first two years before being named the Head Coach in 2019 after Coach Knox's retirement.
Coach Harry's vision is to develop well-rounded young men who excel on the court, in the classroom, and in their community. Having once walked the same halls and played on the same court, Coach Harry understands the tradition and responsibility that comes with wearing a Lee Central jersey. Coach Harry believes in teaching the game the right way through fundamentals, teamwork, and mental preparation. One of Coach Harry's favorite quotes is "Teamwork makes the Dreamwork".
Outside of coaching, Coach Harry enjoys spending time with family and loved ones, attending sporting events, and golfing.
