Lee Central High School's "Mathletes" Participate in the Pee Dee Regional Mathematics Tournament
Lee Central High School participated in the challenging 41st Pee Dee Regional Mathematics Tournament at Francis Marion University on December 5th of 2017. Nine students and two coaches represented the “Mathletes” team at the competition. The competition has grown in scope and competitiveness over the years with 22 schools and approximately 330 students from the Pee Dee area taking part in this annual celebration of mathematics. The math team was comprised of Jay-Monte Belin, Martin Barron-Romero, Owen Lewis, John Holloman, Ty’Rique Jones, Donte Moses, Shakyra Gilford, Shakil McCray, and Juanita Hickmon. They were accompanied by coaches Mark Davidson and Alberto Madilo. Congratulations go to Juanita Hickmon with a team high score and Honorable Mention.
