[HOUR OF CODE] Get Ready for Your Robot!
The Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code" to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science. Ms. Porter and her students were selected, from over millions of participants nationwide, for the Hour of Code Robotics Giveaway from Dexter Industries GoPiGo community and other generous partners. Recipients were chosen from all survey submissions from the US only. Ms. Porter and her class will receive three complete GoPiGo3 robot kits, several cool sensors, and a GoBox curriculum, totaling $1,200 value! Ms. Porter has hosted an hour of code, one-day workshop for the past four years. On Tuesday, December 12, 2017, the Marketing Program was introduced to the Computer Science Program entitled, “Angry Birds.” Students received certificates after the completion of twenty challenging steps.
