Congratulations Ms. Shy'Asia Toney!!
On January 26, 2024, Ms. Toney became the first 09M high school senior to enlist in the state of South Carolina!
She is a stellar student with a smile that makes the "Sunshine." As an early graduate, completing high school after just three years, Ms. Toney is focused and goal-oriented.
"She takes her time and is meticulous with her work," said Mrs. Lisa Durant, Ms. Toney's US History teacher.
Major Juan Cobbs, LCHS JROTC Instructor, said, "Ms. Toney is a hard-working student and she will do well in the SC Army National Guard."
After enlisting, she considered her future and gained a new level of confidence.
